KRITIK HADITS TENTANG FADILAH SHALAT WITIR DALAM KITAB SUNAN IBNU MAJAH NO. INDEKS 1.158

Abstract

Prayer is a very important ritual for drawing closer to Allah, especially in performing the Sunnah prayer of Witir after the Isha prayer, because the Witir prayer was originally performed after the Isha prayer, even though the time for the Isha prayer had already begun. However, if we have not yet performed the Isha prayer, it is not recommended to perform the Witir prayer, and it is even invalid if we do so. This study was conducted through the analysis of the hadith being researched. After obtaining the results, the hadith was compared with other hadiths. Therefore, the issue to be addressed or researched is the analysis of the hadith regarding the virtues of Witir prayer in the book Sunan Ibn Majah. It is hoped that Muslims can apply this hadith in their daily lives. Result: Witr prayer is performed between the time of Isha’ and the appearance of dawn. The aim is for Muslims to implement the content of this hadith in their daily lives as a way of loving their Prophet by following his Sunnah, which ultimately enhances the quality of our worship.
