Publications and Authorship
All manuscripts submitted to the Al-Qolam Journal: Journal of Quranic Studies and Exegesis will undergo a peer review process by at least two reviewers who are experts in their respective fields. The assessment covers relevance, originality, clarity of argumentation, methodological validity, and linguistic quality.
Editorial decisions include: accepted, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejected. Rejected manuscripts will not be reconsidered. A single research result must not be published in more than one journal. Acceptance of manuscripts is subject to legal provisions regarding plagiarism, copyright, and defamation.
Author’s Responsibility
Authors must ensure that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal. All authors must have made a significant contribution, and their contributions must be described in the article.
Authors must follow up on the results of the review, present valid data, cite all references, disclose any conflicts of interest, and report post-publication errors. Withdrawal of a manuscript after the review process may only be carried out in accordance with the publisher’s regulations.
Responsibilities of the Reviewer
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, remain objective, and avoid conflicts of interest. Reviewers may recommend relevant references and report suspected plagiarism or substantial overlap to the editor.
Editor’s Note
The Editor has full authority over editorial decisions based on scientific quality and alignment with the journal’s scope. The Editor is responsible for upholding academic integrity and reviewer anonymity, and for addressing allegations of ethical misconduct in a professional and evidence-based manner.
Publication Ethics
All parties involved are required to adhere to the COPE ethical guidelines. Substantial changes after acceptance are not permitted without good cause. Any indication of plagiarism, data manipulation, or other ethical violations will be dealt with in accordance with the journal’s ethical procedures.
