Abstrak

This study examines the hadith found in the book Riyadus Sholihin, index number 7146, which discusses the prohibition against appointing someone who asks for or aspires to a position. This study aims to determine the meaning of the prohibition against appointing someone who requests or aspires to hold a position as stated in the book Riyadus Sholihin, Index No. 7146. The discussion of the hadith in the book Riyadus Sholihin, Index No. 7146, indicates a prohibition against seeking a position; the person seeking it bears the responsibility themselves, and if they do not seek the position, they will be assisted. This study employs a literature review method with a hadith text-based approach. The findings indicate that leaders are servants of their people. They must not act arbitrarily. The relationship between leaders and the people must be based on consultation (discussion) and mutual respect. The people also have the right to criticize their leaders if they deviate from the right path.
