Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • If submitting to the peer-reviewed journal section, the instructions in Ensuring Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Papers submitted to our editors will be considered for publication if they meet the following criteria:

  1. It is scientific and focuses on reviewing related issues in contemporary Islamic studies. In addition, it must be original and based on research and literature reviews that are contributive to the development of Islamic studies.
  2. Articles must be original, research-based, unpublished and not reviewed for possible publication in other journals.
  3. It consists of a title, author's name, institution, email address, abstract, keywords, content, and references.
  4. The title should be clear, precise and no more than 14 words.
  5. Authors do not need to include an academic degree.
  6. Manuscripts should be typed in MS document format with Times New Roman, size 12 pts, one and a half spaces, A4 paper approx. 15 to 25 pages (see template)
  7. All submissions must include 75-150 abstract words and 3-5 keywords. The abstract of the research paper should contain the title, objectives, methods, and findings of the research. While the abstract of the non-research paper includes the title, purpose, and discussion.
  8. This paper will be reviewed and edited without altering any substantial content
  9. Bibliographic references should be recorded in body notes and bibliographies according to APA Style.
  10. Email automation is currently in trouble, so if the paper status is "archived", then the manuscript is rejected.

As-Syifa Journal is a peer-reviewed national journal, available in print and online and published twice a year. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including the author, editor-in-chief, editorial board, peer-reviewer and publisher of LP2m STIQ Wali Songo Situbondo.­­­­
